Welcome to Equine & Canine
Light Therapy
Inspired by the need to help our big showjumper
Gospel Hour, Equine Light Therapy was born.
Now horse and dog owners, trainers and health care
professionals all over the world are choosing Equine
Light Therapy pads to help their animal friends. We
are proud that our Equine Light Therapy pads have
become a barn "necessity" for many.
We are proud to announce that we have just launched
Canine Light Therapy. We have so many "dog
clients" we felt we should make it official!
Our dogs are members of our family and whether our
wonderful canine friends are competitors or companions,
we want them to be as happy and healthy as possible.
Our Light Therapy pads use very specific wavelengths
of light. There are many studies on light therapy
that show these specific wavelengths have many powerful
therapeutic and healing benefits.
The therapeutic effects are the result of light energy
absorption at the cellular level which is then used
to heal tissue faster. The key to providing effective
Light Therapy is to use specific light wavelengths.
Our Equine & Canine Light Therapy Pads use two
specific wavelengths that research has shown to dramatically
increase the rate of healing. The two wavelengths
are in the near-infrared and infrared spectrums. The
near-infrared wavelength (visible red) is effective
for stimulating acupuncture points, releasing trigger
points, treating wounds and infections. The infrared
wavelength (not visible), which penetrates deeper,
has been shown to be effective in helping heal soft
tissue injuries, joints and muscles.
Some of the benefits may include:
Increased circulation by the
formation of new capillaries
Significant increases in wound healing with less formation
of scar tissue
Reduction in edema
Pain relief
Relaxation of muscles
Stimulation of collagen production
Relief of minor aches and pains
Increases RNA and DNA synthesis
Stimulation of trigger and acupuncture points
As horse owners who work with horses everyday, we
understand the importance of making the most of time
and money. Our Light Therapy pads are now available
in 2 sizes and are designed to be used all over the
horse's or dog's body. We didn't want one pad for
the hocks, another for the ankle, a different pad
for the suspensories, tendon and shins, another for
the poll and another for the back. We wanted to have
one pad that can be used on all of these areas. Unlike
other light therapy products, our Light Therapy pads
flex both ways, top to bottom and side to side, this
makes it easy to wrap around the hoof, the ankle,
knee, suspensory or hock. You can leave it flat and
place it on the shoulder, neck, back or poll.
Treatment time is only 10 minutes per area with "Gospel's"
Small Equine or Canine Light Therapy pad and 15 minutes
per area with "Gospel's" Large Equine or
Canine Light Therapy pad.
Our Light Therapy pads are manufactured right here
in the United States.
*"Biologists have found that cells exposed
to near-infrared light from LEDs, which is energy
just outside the visible range, grow 150 to 200 percent
faster than cells not stimulated by such light. The
light arrays increase energy inside cells that speed
up the healing process."
